Hazard Assessment
The purpose of the hazard assessment is to analyze the potential effects of an accidental release of any regulated substance. This assessment shall include an estimate of potential release quantities and a determination of downwind effects, including potential exposures to affected populations. The assessment shall also include release history of the past five years, including the size, concentration, and duration of the releases.

CAMEO can be used to access, store, and evaluate information critical for developing emergency plans. In addition, CAMEO supports regulatory compliance by helping users meet the chemical inventory reporting requirements of EPCRA. CAMEO also can be used with LandView ® to display EPA environmental databases and demographic/economic information to support analysis of environmental justice issues. LandView VI: contains a wealth if important information that may be useful for facilities in identifying their locations and potentially vulnerable populations. RMP*Comp: is a free program you can use to complete the offsite consequence analyses (both worst case scenarios and alternative scenarios) required under the Risk Management Planning Rule.
